Who We Are
A community of 26 women united by compassion, working to transform lives in Ruhango District, Rwanda.
Our Story
The Soroptimist Club of Ruhango started in September 2018 with six former schoolmates from Mukingi Secondary School, located in Ruhango District. Over time, they mobilized their friends, and today the club brings together 26 united women.
The club relies mainly on members' contributions to support women caring for children or dependents with disabilities. Currently, we work with 60 women who care for more than 65 dependents with disabilities.
Vision
To set an outstanding example of unity and partnership through education, health, and socio-economic development activities.
Mission
To accelerate advocacy for children, girls, and vulnerable women, especially those living with disabilities, extreme poverty, and violence.
